Going to boracay
My girlfriend and I will be going to Boracay in April. We are planning to stay near Station 2 as there is a lot of nightlife in that area but looking on the Internet I can't find a good beach for us to visit that allows nudity. It seems like European women may get away with going topless but that is about it. There might also be some private island beaches that can be reached by boat like off of Palawan but I am not sure. I would be very interested in what you find out and what you recommend. Thanks
Boracay is gorgeous, such lovely sand and sea. Possibly the best in the world and has been called the last paradise. I have been to Philippines many times, more than I can remember, over the last 30 years. They are getting more "switched on" but still behind the times. Nudity is definitely illegal in the Philippines. There are a couple of beaches where it is practiced including on the island of Malapacao because it is a privately owned island. With 7,107 islands, you should be able to find somewhere but remember, this is a country where the population is very conservative and narrow minded. They all generally go swimming wearing t-shirt and shorts so as not to expose their body. To a western person, that seems very strange in a country where, similar to Thailand, has a reputation for its sex industry. But that is behind closed doors. In public, such as a beach, they will be offended if you expose your body. I have been a naturist most of my life but never dared to go naked in the Philippines which is a shame because they have beautiful beaches there. The most I ever exposed was my chest, I did go swimming without a t-shirt but the locals insisted that I wore shorts. You must be able to find somewhere secluded to be a naturist in private but be careful not to be overseen by the locals.
