outdoor shower

Hi
I too have an outdoor shower. Its not fancy. It is just two frost free taps , one for hot and one for cold. I have them connected thru a tee connection on a hose that goes out to a post in the ground that holds the shower head. Its about 10 feet away from the house sort of mixed in with the evergreens and shrubs and flowers during the summer. Living in the country I have no walls or fences around it all since I have no neighbours close. When I shower I have a clear view of the countryside around me. But the best part is during the summer when everything is in bloom and very green, incredible smells and colours! It is so neat to shower with all the flora and fauna. I use mine year round weatrher permitting but one thing to remember is if you use it during the winter as I do ,is to have a quick connect to drain it or you learn the hard way....I did

Texas Summer Outdoor Shower

In the long Texas summer, I find it exhilarating and refreshing to shower off using just the hose, my soap and my conditioner to shower off the a day's sunbathing on my patio.

RE: anybody got an outdoor shower?

We have had an outdoor shower for year and enjoy in all spring, summer and fall as long as the weather is warm enough.
I shower outside from about April till October and it really sucks when we have to drain it for winter.

Lets hope it gets warm soon.

RE: anybody got an outdoor shower?

Growing up in a nudist colony, there were MANY outdoor showers all around the place even though we all had regular showers in our homes, but most everyone PREFERED showering [ AND BATHING IN THE TUBS TOO ] outside.
Sadly here where I'm at in N. Utah there's no place to set up one without some SERIOUS expense of setting up a privacy wall, but IF I HAD THE GREEN you betcha I would be doing it, weather permitting.
And for you that wish to but are concerned by just the use of cold water out of the hose, there is a place that sells outdoor hot water shower units for camping that I believe use propane that can be easily adapted for use year round around your home. I'm pretty sure they're made right here in N. Utah too. Info is anyone of you wish it. contact me.

RE: To see my outdoor shower

I live on a very private 35 acres 2300 feet in elevation above Grand Junction, Colorado with a view of half the valley. This summer, I will be building an outdoor shower an outdoor shower at the corner of my house next to the hot water heater. The look north is of the valley, and I will spend quite a few wonderful moments showering naked as the day I was born outside, with the mule deer, rabbits and other critters to keep me company.

RE: anybody got an outdoor shower?

We recently bought a house where it looks like the previous owners were starting an outdoor shower. That'll be my next project - finishing it into a shower area, solar pergola overhead to heat the water.

RE: anybody got an outdoor shower?

I have taken a lot of "garden hose" baths to keep the mud outside, but this summer I got to take a true outdoor shower. Building my own is a must now.
