Snapchat and kik

Guys,

I just downloaded kik, but I don't quite understand it. Is it just another chat program? Where can I find the groups there?
I though there were groups there.
Anyway, my kik name is georgiemizoka and my Snapchat name is gorgymezo.
I'm not a super advanced Snapchat-ter either, but I'm learning. :-)
