I can't give you an exact time limit on verification, but I sent mine off at about midnight and by 7 the following morning it had been accepted. It probably helps though that the mod and myself are in different time-zones, so he was probably working while I was sleeping.
Well Vix - you have had some good advice - I'll add my tuppenceworth. There are many that will judge you by the company you keep - i.e. your choice of groups. Personally I don't concern myself with what may simply be idle curiosity on your part (although it may indeed say something about you).
I respect those members who choose not to display any pictures for personal 'security' reasons even though I am unlikely to add them to my list as I have found most to be less concerned with 'security' and more concerned with 'anonymity' because of an intent of inappropriate or trollish behaviour .
The same applies to pictures of cats, dogs, sunsets, trains, boats and planes - and cartoons or 3rd party pictures from the net. If they are the only pictures the individual posts then not for me I'm afraid.
I fail to understand the logic of those who only post clothed or partially clothed pictures (such as yours) as this is a nudist site - the clue is in the title. Posting any picture here will, by association, mark the poster as a nudist to the rest of the world simply because of its URL address so one might as well post 'on topic' pictures and be done with it - the 'security' excuse does not hold water.
In terms of 'observable patterns' - sparsely written profiles and single pictures are, as Rabbit indicates, 'suggestive of commercial webcam services' and will put many people off.
So, (and this is only my personal opinion/yardstick) I look for:-
firstly - a well written and rounded profile that tells me something about the individual - where in the world they are and what they are about;
secondly - a few 'on topic' pictures that compliment the profile text;
thirdly - site certification.
A minimum of 2 out of 3.
Just some points for you to consider perhaps.

All things in moderation, including tolerance, but when
someone's actions start to fuel the anti nudist lobby,
it's time to say something. Far too many so called
Nudists, are shooting themselves, and US, in the foot.
When you are fighting a war, you do NOT, give
ammunition to the OTHER side!
In the eyes of the general population, Lingerie = sex,
loose morals and pornography, and eroticism on a
Nudist website only confirms their mistaken belief that
all nudists are sex mad, perverted and Immoral.
HELLO! ...... THAT is WHY they try to close down nudist beaches and venues.
Why is this SO hard for people to understand,
it's not rocket science!

Haha, well done Jessica! ...... but all that proves, is that she's got the same
taste in Lingerie, is of a similar size, and age, got the same hair, and chin,
and .......... Oh, ... ok so it's her. :) :) :) But, that only proves that she's not a
fake. She's real enough, but is she the same person behind the profile?
Certification would help.
I know that the chances are, that the person behind the profile pinched the
pic from the net, so you are probably right, but, lets assume for a moment
that, it IS her. (btw, sorry to talk about you like this on your own thread, but,
needs must! :)
I think it is important to take the view, that what anyone does outside of TN,
provided that it does not bring the Naturist movement into disrepute, is -their-
business. I have no problem with anyone featuring on adult sites, What I DO
have a problem with, is when they try to bring it here, and can't see the need
to keep the two separate.
