It's finally weather friendly to open up the Camper
You northern folks know what I mean ! We as many have every amenity packed in or Motor Homes, RV's and Campers. We do have to off load the freezable, perishable, clothes, bedding type items and that took a while in itself. I must say it's a whole lot more fun restocking than it is prepping for storage.
Naked camping season is finally here !!
Though we don't have the drastic weather changes as many nudists do in places other than Southern California, we have had the motorhome here for about 2.5 weeks in the last month. We went through it again and rearranged things, added things and removed things and I did some minor repairs. Always give it a thorough clean up each time before it goes back to storage but again just before we figure we're going to be taking it out more often, for Spring and Summer.
Looking forward to hitting the road and spending some time at the club very soon!
Happy, naked and safe travels Rock!
Here is a link to a website explaining how to read the manufacture date of a tire.

Determining the Age of a Tire
Bob
My life...4 service trucks, Mrs Rocks Navigator, camper, utility trailer, lawn mower. Tires, batteries and gas is what I never get done buying! Yes I'm a huge believer in quality fresh tires. I've had a camper tire blow out on an interstate a some years ago. Camper tires hardly looked used but I knew they were a cheap set and 6 years old. When one sees tire pieces flinging in the roadway in your rear view mirror you know it's not a good start to a trip.
I cry like a sissy girl when it comes to a set for Mrs. Rocks SUV. That is a $1300 hit everytime for a set of rubber. That is our pull vehicle, that stock vehicle jack is a joke to lift that beast. Plus it's her daily driver so Rock is going to have her as safe as possible. Sleet, ice and snow she can get into all three in one trip to the office in the winter time.
having an rv is like having a boat. we all know what boat stand for: break out another thousand
It may be but it's something I/we enjoy and everything costs money unless you sit at home and do nothing! ;-)
I'm surprised that our RV hasn't had more problems than we've had. It's 13 years old now and I'm sure some things will start to fail or break but we've had several years of use without any real issues. The only thing not working, at the moment, is our oven. We can live with that! ;-)

Yikes! It's enough to take care of without the service trucks!
At one time, we had 5 vehicles between the two of us, we're now down to 4, including the RV. The RV and Classic car don't go out much but I'm trying to change that with the RV. My Jeep, an '01, was suppose to be the RV toad but it became our daily driver. I finally sold my crew cab 2500 HD Silverado, that took us down to the 4 vehicles we have now. Di's SUV is soon for the boneyard. We'll get her another but it will be a lease. In about 18 months, it's my intention to sell my Jeep to my oldest grandson and get a new one ... also a lease.
My '01 Jeep, Di's '04 Volvo and the '67 classic car ... and the '04 RV ... I know and feel your repair pains! :D
We don't seem to travel separately much anymore. We could go down to two cars and the RV, eliminating the need for two lease cares, but then that leaves me with the Classic car to drive and I don't trust it that much and Di won't drive it. I'd have to put too much money into the classic car to make it dependable.
We have a good time in the RV. It's not fancy but we've made it our own and it's now paid for! Thanks to a no interest, no hassle, no monthly payment agreement with my dad. I've given him the last three checks to pay off the RV and each of those times he's said ... "I thought you already paid me for it!" My brother said I should just forget about giving him anymore money, "he doesn't need it and he's obviously already forgotten about it." I couldn't do that and he's always been grateful for our honesty. My dad always says ... "you'll get it all back when I'm gone!" LOL
Went and got our RV in time for the annual Death Valley trip this year, only to find I had a cracked windshield. Our RV has a split windshield. I initially suspected that the storage place guys may have done something but there was no exterior damage. I couldn't get it fixed prior to leaving on the trip and as fate would have it ... some jackass passed me on the right shoulder and threw a rock up and hit the other windshield! So now I have a cracked windshield and a chip in the other one. I finally got the windshield replace and the chip fixed and found out why the windshield cracked and the glass place fixed the issue causing the cracks!
We've owned a couple of tent trailers and they were pretty basic models. Pretty easy to fix things yourself and not a lot of money needs to be spent. Have you seen some of the tent trailers of today? They are pretty awesome and some even come with pop outs, toilets and showers!
