Nude Statue of George Washington to be on display at the Frick
A nearly 200-year-old plaster sculpture rendering a naked George Washington will be displayed for the first time in the U.S. as part of an exhibition next year at the Frick Collection. The Italian sculptor Antonio Canova cast the plaster as a model for a larger sculpture commissioned by the State of North Carolina (New York Times)
