Terraced Houses & Gardens

I've longed for years for a space where I could sunbathe naked, often wondering why there wasn't one corner of one park in London that was an arranged nudist spot.

Then the other day, I was looking out of an upstairs window at home and made a realisation. I live in one of a row of terraced houses, with their gardens backing onto the gardens of another row of terraced houses behind. Each house is a mirror of the neighbouring house. I noticed that although I could sort of see into my neighbours' gardens, I couldn't see all of the ground of each garden. And if I couldn't see all of their ground, they couldn't see all of mine. There was a rectangle that was blocked off from either view.

Another issue was the view the house to the rear had. The foliage did much to hide my little rectangle of potential nudity, but I could add to this. Across our garden is a clothesline. One towel hung in the middle of the clothes line effectively blocks a huge area from view. With that on the line, my only concern would be if someone was in one of the gardens and stuck their head over the fence. It's not something I've ever notice happen, and all it means is I need to be on my guard a little if I hear anyone knocking about outside.

Could you plant some scented honeysuckles along your fences, to give another foot or two height to stop the people looking over the fence so easy. After all it will also give their gardens a nice scent as well and be good for the bees.

Unless you're truly desperate to avoid being seen, I wouldn't worry about neighbors poking their heads over the wall or fence. That's invading your privacy, after all, and they are the ones committing the offense if any complaints are filed.

So they might go yuck and never do this again, or be happy to see and chat to a nudist.

Yeah, that's been my philosophy on it; they'd really need to *try* and look in order to see me.

You sound like me when I informaly evaluate potential "safe zones" in my back yard! I'm still building up the courage to face my fear of discovery and go "out" freely. I recently began exploring nudism & naturist consistently over the past 6 months, and stretch my limits a little each day. I have done the 5k on a resort, but this was a "safe" place. It will take much more daring to go out, exposed, in my own yard.
