Places in Eastern Massachusetts/Boston Area
Hey guys,
I've been contemplating trying out nudism for a while and would like to give it a few goes before the end of summer!
Are there any places in the Boston/North Shore area that don't require membership? I don't want to be committed to anything, I just want to try and see what it's like. I'd prefer a beach, but open to anything else.
I'd like to get a light tan, but don't want to get burned. Should I cover myself in SPF 5-10 lotion? And since I'd be going by myself, how would I get my back covered? :P If it's not practical to go alone, maybe there's someone who'd be willing to come and show me the ropes? If so, how would I find someone?
Another practical question: what do I do with my keys, phone, etc. once I'm parked and ready to go?
A friend of mine runs trips to Martha's Vineyard and Lighthouse Beach. There is no membership required. He takes groups so you will not be alone. Leave your car at the meeting place and keep your keys and wallet in your pants. When you get to your destination you can probably leave your clothes and possessions in the car you rode in if need be. Leave your phone at home. Are you really going to take you phone to the beach? If I were you I would use lotion higher that 5 or 10 until your body gets used to the sunlight (especially body parts that may have never seen the sun and have no idea how to react).

There is a trip being planned for the weekend of Sept. 11 & 12th to go to Lighthouse Beach on Fire Island in NY. Sadlly you are to late for the Marthas Vineyard Beach trip, we did that last weekend. If you would like to get involved in the local naturist groups, do as Gearge suggested and checkout:

Information on the upcoming trip to Lighthouse Beach will be posted on this site.

You'll have to stick with the "Beantown" nudists as far as where to visit...as for your keys, phone, etc. I had the same question before going to gunnison. It's just not a problem. Generally nudists are terrific folks and your stuff will be fine in your backpack, bag, shorts pocket...I'd leave the gold bullion bars at home...
Healix, Sandy Terraces is a nice, small nudist camp off exit three just as you get on the cape. They welcome new people with open arms, are wonderful people themselves, and accept single males. If you click on 'locations' in the menu bar, click on MA, and then click on Sandy Terraces, you'll find the link to their website as well as photos posted here on their location page. One of the board members even has a profile here.
Give it a try, I think their season goes till the end of September. You can visit for a day, a weekend, a week, and all on a perdiem basis.
