Guys with Prince Albert

Hey guys! Let's talk about our Prince Albert!
Also would like to hear about other piercings too. What made you do it? Do you regret it? Do you want more? What's it like in social settings? Do your partners like it? Do people like to talk to you about it?

I got my PA in March of 2014. So about 3.5 years. I had seen pictures of them and initially thought it was crazy to do something like that. I wasn't into body modification at all. Not against it, but I just was afraid to do something permanent that I'd regret later. Then it started to become a fascination. I was really intrigued and excited by the look of them. I started to really want one. It became an obsession almost for a while. I was doing research, looking at all kinds of photos, trying to get info on what the experience was like. How bad did it hurt? Would it afffect my sensitivity? What's it like to live with?

So I found a guy in Asheville NC would advertised on his website that he did male genital piercings. Which, is actually really hard to find! Most piercing shops, at least around me, would only do female, if any genitals at all. I went one day to talk to him. He was awesome! His studio was cleaner than most doctors offices. Every single piece of metal was in a sterile package. He knew his stuff, was very educated, even though he had only done a small handful of PAs before. He came from Arizona or New Mexico where they require education and certification.

He set everything up, had me take a big deep breath and on the exhale, the needle went through!
It did hurt...for all those who will ask. Yes it did hurt. But! It wasn't terrible. You can pinch your skin with your fingernails and achieve the same type and level of pain. It's quick, and it doesn't hurt afterwards, although it can be a little tender for a while.

Two things you should do with a PA, I learned the hard way. Take your time gauging up! Let it get "happy" before you go up a size. Keep it super clean! Don't be afraid to clean it several times a day. Also use something moisturizing and lubricating like Vitamin E oil or Emu oil to keep a dry scab from forming. This is one wound you want to heal in a moist environment. Trust me, breaking that scab accidentally is worse then the piercing!

Took me most of these 3.5 years to go from 10g to 0g. And I absolutely love it! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I love the look, the feel, the fact that it's a conversation piece. And yes I do get a lot of questions, and a lot of compliments. It's really fun to have something like that this is just for you, it was your decision, for your enjoyment, and for others viewing (or other) pleasure.

No.....it's completely fine in the airport....a PA is the least of their worries.....

RE:Guys with Prince Albert

I was actually looking to get a tattoo for my birthday (my ritual was to get a tattoo on the decade, x0, birthdays) but couldn't decide what I wanted. I was looking at nearby parlors' web sites when I came across one that also hosted a piercer. He had a section on genital piercings. I started doing more research on the subject and decided on the PA. After checking out the piercer's credentials (education, was on the national board, etc), I made the appointment. Almost talked myself out of it after watching some videos of guy's getting a PA but I went through with it. Tons of paperwork! He recommended starting with an 8g. He asked if his female assistant could watch the procedure (she had only seen one other male genital piercing). I said sure since I was a nudist. He explained everything he was doing, even shared he had a 4g PA. For some reason, that made me feel better about my decision. He said ready, 1, 2, Done! I felt more of a pressure than any pain. The adrenaline rush after he said he was done was worse than the piercing. He showed me his handiwork then wrapped it up in gauze, a latex glove (to protect my underwear) and lots of tape. A couple of hours later, I had to urinate but couldn't get the bandage packing off. By the time I was able to remove it, I had to go so bad that I just let it rip. That hurt due to the clotted blood in the urethra and the force of the stream. After that, I had no pain with urination. The cleaning was pretty simple. I used the saline spray which made it easy.

I agree on the need to take it slow with the upsizing. I went from the 8g to a 6g at 10weeks. That was painful and hurt for a couple of days afterward. I waited for over a year after that to go to a 4g. By that time, the hole was slightly bigger than my 6g jewelry and the 4g slipped in with no problem with a little Emu oil. I plan on waiting for the anniversary again before going to a 2g.

It is a great conversation starter. The first question is usually did it hurt. The next one is usually related to sex. A few ask to see it up close or touch it to see how it was done.

My husband wasn't excited about me getting the PA (he doesn't like me getting tattoos either) but he grown to like it.

I don't have a PA. Perhaps it's called fear of that piercing. I have a frenum piercing which was done in 2004. The original jewelry was a 12g, and I've slowly moved up to a 4g. I will likely not increase the size again. I enjoy the weight and tug when I'm walking, especially nude. It gives my frenum a nice stretch.

Hi
I also have a PA. Around 25 years old.
It started a thin one (10 ga) but now it's thick (00ga) and I love it.
Always on, even when I am on my naturist beach.

I've had my PA for 6 years now and never regretted getting it done. I've settled on a 0GA 8mm , I did have a 00GA in for a few days but found it too heavy and big for my penis.
I love having a PA and hate it on the very few occasions I've had to take it out. Feels like my penis isn't there without the weight!
I enjoy the looks it's gets when I'm in changing rooms, public toilets and on nudist beaches.

My first piercings were in both nipples in 2016. I had a fascination with PA's. My friend tried to put me off saying it would affect my peeing. Then he admitted to giving himself a PA one drunken night. There was no stopping me now, though it took a while to find a piercing studio which did genitals. I got it done early in April 2017, so I've only had it 17 months. The man doing the piercing was built like a doorman - no arguing. It did hurt a lot, both when he pushed the needle through and when he inserted the ring. But the pain was short lived. The initial ring was only 1.6mm (14 gauge). I looked up the after care getting the advice (which I followed) to bathe it in salt water and not to upsize too quickly. However I did get it up to 2.4mm (10 gauge) fairly quickly and painlessly. I than moved up slowly to 3mm then 3.2mm (8 gauge)allowing the ring r horse-shoe to get loose before upsizing. Meanwhile my friend had upsized more quickly. But then he had problems fearing it would tear out. Progress to 4mm (6 gauge) and then (in July) to 5mm (4 gauge) did require a taper and was with some pain and a few day's discomfort as it re-healed. At the present time I'm at 5mm (4 gauge) So progress from 14 to 4 gauge over 16 months. I hope to be ready to upgrade to 6mm (3 gauge) within the next month.

I have acquired more piercings over this time, doing them all myself with a piercing needle. I now have two piercings in each nipple (one horizontal, one vertical) and it is those piercings that get the most comments/questions - especially from women. I also pierced my scrotum (using a hammer and nail) in July 2017. I went direct to 3.2mm (8 Gauge) upgrading to 4mm (6 gauge) fairly recently. I can hear a gentle tinkling as I walk. It is my PA knocking on the end of the scrotum shaft.

I have experimented with other piercings. One through my navel migrated out. One through the base of my shaft was very painful when erect. (I hadn't realised how many "morning woods" I got during the night until the pain woke me after each dream, about 4 times each night.) So that had to go. I also put one through my left testicle the other day. It only lasted a few hours as it made the ball ache.

BTW I now have 10 piercings:- the 4 in my nipples, 3 in/around my penis and 3 through parts of my scrotum. The last 4 are very recent.

RE:Guys with Prince Albert

i got my PA purely out of curiosity after seeing photos online, and also after seeing many types of piercing in the line of work I am in. I work in the Operating Room and all external metal in the body must be taken out prior to surgery because of the use of electro-cautery for most procedures that we performed. Body Piercings were becoming more and more "fashionable" so we in the OR's were seeing many different types, with no one understanding how to remove them. I was tasked with going to a piercing parlour to inquire about safe piercing removal. While there and asking many questions I asked about a PA piercing and the cost. The gentleman I was speaking with was very professional with me so far and he said he could do one for X-amount if I was interested. Flash decision- I got it done..!! He explained everything as he set up, showed me all the sterile things he would be using, including the jewelry. He instructed me to relax, take some calm & clearing breathes as he made one simple mark under my glans, and he told me to take one DEEP breath and hold, as he swiftly pushed the coring needle into the hollow tube he placed prior into my urethra. As someone said earlier the initial pain was intense, but it subsided by the time the piercer wrapped my penis in a glove to keep my underwear clean and gave me at home care instructions.

I was pierced with a fairly smaller gauge, 14 g to be precise, but gradually moved from 14g to a 10g. over a 2 yr period. As time went on it seemed like the original hole was becoming more open and loose, maybe because it was fun to JO with, or the skin just relaxes. Recently, 8 years after the original piercing, I met a new piercer locally and inquired about sizing up. He asked me how far I wanted to "gauge up", and I told him eventually no large than a 2g. One reason is because of the weight of the ring size, and then also hearing about guys who went too big and the jewelry gradually caused a tear between the urethra and the underside of the PA and it "naturally" fell out. I asked about maybe an 8 or 6 at this time and he said that the parlour was switching to a different seller for their jewelry and he wasn't sure they had a 8 or 6 in stock, but he knew they had a 4g ring of the style I wanted. He said he could dilate me a bit and slide the 4g in but it might be a "little pinchy". I figured - go for it.. I would be up to a 4 anyways, let's just do it. SO I relaxed back on his table with a dilator, you know where, and he pushed my new 4g Curved Barbell through the existing hole. Sizing up 3 gauges felt like I was getting repierced again but it turned out well. Would I recommend doing that to anyone else.. Probably not.. but it was done and I REALLY enjoy the weight of the ring, esp. when naked.

*** One little caveat about larger gauge piercings: We have to clean them more frequently than smaller piercings, which means using an antiseptic at least twice a week to get rid of occasional odor that can form while healing. Also- guys- if you have a PA we all know it is easier to sit and pee now to avoid the "splash zone" with a PA. Use some tissue to wipe the end of your penis and the jewelry as well when your done urinating.. it cuts down on the "occasional odor" and it aids in the healing process as well...

Cheers !!

I've had my PA for 23 years and have enjoyed having it. I was pierced at 10ga and immediately stretched to 8ga. Over the course of two years I moved up to a 2ga which is where I'm still at. I rotate a 4ga to keep things tight and also alternate stainless (heavy) and titanium (light). The titanium also gives me the option of color. Green on St Patrick's Day! A PA is a great piercing that can be taken out as needed without any issue of putting it back in plus the options of circular barbell or curved barbell are nice.
