Another Nice Gathering!
Well, another GNI Gathering has come and gone. I can say that I liked
it overall:
WHAT I LIKED Seeing old friends, making new ones, being naked
for a few days with other naked people, hosting a massage workshop (if
you attended, I would appreciate your feedback, both good and bad so I
can make improvements), giving and recieving the 'GNI handshake', the
weather on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, this years gift - the seat
cushin which came in handy during the shows.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE The weather which was sort of cloudy and
breezy on Wednesday and Thursday, not having working payphones at the
camp (I left my cell phone at home and needed to make calls), the daily
schedule not being as busy as in past gatherings, having to strain to
read the ATL schedule.
WHAT COULD CHANGE The Wristband which came in one size; the
membership comes in various sizes, and I'm aware that some found it
kinda tight on their wrist. Other nude gatherings I've attended also
use the color wristband system to show duration of the stay of the
attendees and used a hospital-like paper wristband that is sized to the
individual
WHAT COULD/CAN I (YOU) DO I guess I could help by doing the
workshops again and maybe an additional one on another subject/topic,
since I like being warm I can help bring firewood to the fireplace in
the dining halls in the evening when it gets cool, some newcomers are
shy; If GNI were to get special hats as a marker (hint, hint), I could
volunteer to be someone they can come to for a question or be someone to
sit with during mealtime if they're a bit skittish on sitting with
someone they don't know, remember to always have my cell phone and be
the greeter/coordinator at the bus pick-up point that I take from Newark
NJ Airport.
Already looking forward to next years GNI Gathering! Your thoghts???
Johnny V. from Cabin I-5
WHAT I LIKED:
"Naked Boys Singing", Adam Shank, the Naked Dance Club, Bob Morton's NAC discussion groups, a great roommate, Hector winning Mr. GNI, getting my birthday spanking from BearMan (though his other half can't count, I'm not 65), exercising naked, getting the old bus company back for the return to Newark.
What I don't like:
Howard's lost more weight than I have . . . . . and waiting a whole year to see all my naked friends again.
I've found each gathering is different, and this one is no exception. While somewhat smaller this year, I still came away with that amazing feeling of brotherhood and acceptance that I carry wtih me for the next year.
There are always small things that might be different or that I might prefer, but the board and specifically Rick do a great job running it, and are always open to feedback.
For those of you who have never been, feel free to ask me questions about it! I recommend it highly!
Rick
