If only. . . . .
I had prostate surgery this past Summer since cancer had been detected. Fortunately it was confined to just the prostate itself. My penis has definitely shrunk since then, I think others comments all have some validity explaining why, such as shortening of urethra, decreased hormone levels, etc.
As part of a follow-up after the surgery, I met with another Doctor who specializes in impotency. He went down a list of possible remedies. For some of us who have exhausted all possibilities, there is a new Treatment that has an almost 100% success rate in making boners, which is great! Only problem (which makes some guys shy away from it) is that it involves an injection into the penis. Although the idea makes me cringe, I expect to be meeting with him sometime in January for a preliminary evaluation . Apparently they inject the patient's penis n the initial office visit, in order to determine the size of dosage required. The patient is given a tutorial to be sure he can stick a needle into his penis and is sent home with a supply of needles and boner serum.
As of this writing, I plan on pursuing this new treatment, will keep the Group posted on how it goes.
l use that injectable stuff ('trimex'). works well for me. my problem is it lasts a little too long. my doctor wanted to do an implant but that sounds horrible to me. l'm a 'grower' & that would never have been anything near my normal length.
