A incident with my friend and me at a Naturist resort

Several weeks ago i finally convinced a female friend to try a local naturist resort with me. So upon arriving we both had to give or IDs to someone to register for a day visit. Things seemed to be going well and we went to the showers after being given a small tour. We had literally walked out of the shower and onto the promenade when the supervisor came up to us and told us that my female friend had to leave. When i asked why the supervisor said that my friend was flagged as a sex offender. Of course i was shocked, i knew she had a record but i had never asked. I was very upset that they wanted to kick her out. So i left with her because i was insulted at the tone of the supervisor and the fact that several men walked up with angry looks on their faces and a tone that they were ready to become violent if we didn't leave immediately.

After we left my friend told me about her past. The incident had happened over 14 years ago in another state and she had not been in trouble since then. I won't go into details but i will say the incident did not involve child porn or children in any form or fashion. After the explanation i was even more incensed by the way we had been treated and my friend bade me to let it go and i did. The whole incident has stayed on my mind though, but i decided to find some info first. Are there any naturist resorts that allow for sex offenders to actually join and stay there? I have heard that the AANR affiliated resorts are the ones that ban any and all sex offenders, but that private non-affiliated resorts may allow sex offenders. I just want to enjoy nudism with my friend. I know she was really hurt and embarrassed by what happened, and i just want to help her. Does anyone here have any ideas or info that can help me?

RE:A incident with my friend and me at a Naturist resort

You are a gift to support your friend in a nonjudgmental way and I commend you for that! Nudist resorts are strange places for strange people in many cases. They tend to treat all single males like sex offenders, so if they do equal opportunity discrimination and judging I'm not surprised. And the ones who "pass" often seem cliquey and non-welcoming. It makes wearing only shorts in a state park a much more natural and attractive option.

US society might as well brand sex offenders on their foreheads. To quote Lenny Bruce: If you can take the hot lead enema, then you can cast the first stone. I met a young male sex offender who was supported by a men's group and his great offence was to have consensual sex when he had just turned 18 with his 16 year old girl friend who then turned against him. He ended up homeless and committing suicide due to mental illness compounded by his status.

warm, naked healing hug to you and your friend!
