It's time for us young guys to stand up for the older men.

Here is a video I made about the above subject,

Great video Josiah. Thank you for making and posting it. I agree with your sentiments entirely. I too am very concerned about the younger generation's views on nudity, and those who like to be naked. However, I feel it is a bigger problem in the USA than it is elsewhere, including here in Australia, but American television is helping spread the new American conservative attitudes around the rest of the world. I'm not sure what we can do to stop the spread of this anti-nudity attitude among younger people, other than to spread the word and demonstrate our beliefs in person. We should also encourage as many people as possible to watch this video. :-))

Good one, Josiah! I must say, though, that this strikes me as a uniquely US phenomenon. Nothing of the sort in Europe, with the possible exception of the UK (but Brits have always been stuck up about one thing or another :). At my local gym, everyone, young and old, go naked in the locker room, showers and sauna. After all, thats what segregated locker rooms are for its not about nudist culture, its to provide the privacy in a shared space that men (women) need in a same-sex environment, which is therefore non-sexual. The question does arise of gay sexuality, but its the 21st c after all and nudity among civilised persons should not mean sex and that not because of the constraint that, say, a boot-camp imposes, but out of free choice. Incidentally, I was raised in a culture of public baths that one went to because many households did not have a bathroom. And there, scrubbing the back of a stranger was a matter of course, and so was that stranger returining the favour...
It saddens me that America, which gave us the sexual revolution of the 1960s, and was instrumental in so many ways in liberating Western culture from its fossilised taboos, should be experiencing such a backclash of neo-conservatism, coupled, paradoxically, with an ever so consumerist attitude to sex...
Anyway, thank you for being so forthright on an apparently sensitive subject. Its been a pleasure listening to you! :)

Great video Josiah, Thank you so much for making this video. So many young are so rude and disrespectful to the older and should learn from the older. Please post more!

The video was very well done. I hear people make comments all the time that are very degrading toward the elderly. So disgraceful. I do my best to back them down. I'm 51 and have learned well that we need to find the beauty in each person. Awesome people are all around if you allow yourself to set aside what you think people should be.

Yes, elders nowadays, they just don't understand how to show their youngers respect and decency, strutting their stuff to threaten society's established norms! People just want to be different, and in doing so learn from one another, though you won't get much immediate gratitude. Thanks for building bridges.

From one who is older and observes this in London, UK, thank you for this video.

I totally agree with Shy Bob and former reactions on this topic. I recognize the prudishness and restraint behavior of younger guys showing off nudity. In my younger years it was normal to be naked in the locker room and walk without hesitation to the shower. Nowadays many younger guys behave as if they are prudish and sometimes don t even take a shower after their workout. I sometimes ask myself where did it went wrong with them?
