Hi Bruce and welcome to the site.
You have come here with a very positive attitude which is greatly appreciated as is your honesty. Unfortunately every nudist oriented site does in fact attract a certain percentage of people whose purpose is to troll for pictures or to try to hook up with others even those who clearly state that they are not interested. True Nudists is not immune to such people and that is also a reason that we find so few females or committed couples. Some simply share space with their significant other under a male profile. Just about any female will attest that on identifying themselves as female they areimmediatelyinundatedwith friend requests (no message as to why a friend request has been sent) and in some cases very inappropriate personal messages or comments. These are frequently from but not limited to single men. The same can apply to receiving same sex requests. The majority of gay people here are simply nudists, are not looking to hook up and also deplore sexual trolling. In many cases it would seem that some people don't even read the profile of others before sending them friend requests or personal messages.
On the other hand, True Nudists also comprise a great number (majority) of very friendly and helpful people. There are also a number of resources that can assist persons new to nudism or to this site to find their way around and getanswersto some questions they may have. A good place to start is herehttps://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=2543and herehttps://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=4487And of course you can always addressquestionsorcommentsdirectly to the forum.
Early on in this thread there was some discussion regarding member pictures and who should to be allowed to view them. I've always been amused by those nudists who are unconcerned about being seen by fellow nudists, but have a real problem with being viewed by others. Perhaps someone can explain this to me.
People looking at me (or pictures of me), whether or not I'm nude, have absolutely no impact on me. Even if they're leering or gawking, it makes no difference to me. Wherever you go in life you'll find abundant idiots behaving badly. Ignore them and maybe they'll go away.
Considering the amount of pornography that is so readilly available on the Internet I can't help but wonder what motivates people to join a website like this just to look a pictures of ordinary naked people. Don't let the creeps spoil your fun.

OK....
MOST folks who know me, know who and what I am. For them, I don't really care.
Real nudists, obviously there is no concern whatever, whether they know me or not.
A few clients, ultra-conservative right wing clients, and religious clients slightly right of Calvin, due the dollars involved, I care !
Their reaction is a bit unpredictable, and can be worth a great deal. Maybe.
It's just not worth the risk, though I wouldn't deny if asked.
This is also why I'm a bit concerned about the "random" members photo appearing on the welcome page to absolutely anyone, whether a member or not, whether logged in or not. There really should be an "opt in" for that, IMHO.
Whatever my reasons are ( rhetorically speaking ) may not be important to you, but they are to me !
