Who are your favorite comedians?
First and foremost George Carlin..he broke a lot a barriers and thanks to him those 7 words you couldn't say on TV became possible.
Benny Hill...he was hilarious but also very talented at writing sketches and his shows.
Monty Python...ive always liked and got British humor.
Gallagher...love the smashing of things with the Sledge-o-matic..i had front row seats for that a couple times.
Robin Williams...he always kept a straight face when no one else in scenes could.
These are just a few of mine.
I'll agree with Robin Williams. Having grown up in Boulder a few blocks from "Mork and Mindy's House", felt connected. I watch Trevor Noah now. Sometime he struggles to find funny things to say on the Daily Show, but often he is on. Some of his serious commentary is really good.
Nice walk through memory lane reading the many names listed.
Laughter is one of life's treasures; special are those who bring us that gift.
Some others that have tickled my funny bone in print, radio & TV include:
Will Rogers
George Burns & Gracie Allen
Phil Silvers (Sgt. Bilko)
Tim Conway
Tina Fey & Amy Poehler
various late night talk show hosts
early Johnny Hart (B.C.)
Gary Larsen (The Far Side)
Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes)
