When I go to a dermatologist appointment, I am given a robe and told to remove all my clothes but I can keep my underwear on. Being a freeballer, I'm totally nude for the exam. I tell the doctor that I'm a nudist, so she checks that area as well.
Was it your primary doctor or cardiologist?Do you also see a dermatologist?This was my primary. The cardiologists I've seen don't care/prefer to get the shirt out of the way. It seems to make their job a lot easier.I don't see many specialists unless there's a specific reason, but I'd like to think that dermatologists would appreciate accommodating patients.My dermatologist seems to want patients to keep their underwear on and he cautiously pulls it aside to check underneath. I do remind him that I get sun where most people don't so he will check everywhere.Always get an EKG first at the cardiologist. I take my shirt off instead of bunching it up and leave it off for the exam.
I went to the dermatologist for my 6 month exam today. I put black swim briefs in my cargo shorts pocket and when I took my clothes off in the examination room, I slipped them on. When the doctor examined me, I reminded him that I swam and sunned nude so he knew that he should check everything. We talked about reason why some people swim and sun nude and other don't. That lead me to comment that some people don't wear underwear and how did that work since his staff always tells me to leave my underwear on. He replied that he has staff say that because he believes that is what most patients prefer but some patients are comfortable being nude for the exam and he has no problem with that. Now I know that I don't have to bring the swim brief next time. I should have asked sooner!
