does anyone have any experience with yurts?
RE:does anyone have any experience with yurts?
I've only encountered yurts once while I was working. There was a proposal for a yurt community on an outlying island off California, Catalina Island, that wanted to construct quite a few yurts with dirt roads and limited access and firefighting water system. We tried to make it work for them but in the end, they weren't willing to budge on some of the safety aspects we wanted and we weren't budging as well.
I'd like to stay in a yurt. Some of them are actually quite nice with all the amenities, yet still somewhat like camping but more glamping! There is a small naturist place in Hawaii that has a couple of yurts as accommodations. We've not stayed there but good friends have and they stated the yurt was quite comfortable.
