I do have swim suits because some places we go, Land and Sea, require them to be worn. HOWEVER, when possible at the beach I try to slip off the suit once I'm out in the deeper water; have to make sure to hold to the suit tight though. That doesn't help on most cruise trips but it does when you get to a stop at a beach destination. And the vacation spots along the Florida coast are usually safe enough to do that.

I've mastered the art of securely attaching my swimsuit to my ankle.
Or, at least I can say I haven't lost one yet. :-D
I have a pool i can use anytime in the summer but its in plain view of both neighbors so towel in and towel out except on hot nights I do have a lot of swimwear but there all see through to a degree and some are completely transparent when submerged in water lol.
we have a pool being installed this summer and I am hoping that I will get to start to skinny dip more often. It will probably be at night as the neighbors can see down into the yard.
Would a 6' privacy fence allow you to swim nude in the daytime?
If it would, you should get one.
