Trying it on

As a group admin I check the profile of everyone who asks to join the group, no exceptions. I'm amazed at the number who try to join who dont qualify. It's there in block capitals that group members should be prepared to let others see them naked - that they Dare to Bare. I understand that many have good reasons to keep their nudity, and their nude photos, private - to make the profile or the photos friends only. So myself and the other group admin have been told to ask to become friends, at least for long enough to check and give access to the group. We, and only we, see the photos and only very briefly. So there is no worry that they will be splashed all over the internet. (Having said that, if someone truly Dares to Bare all, why should they worry?) Anyhow, remember, no nude photos = no entry. The group is not for voyeurs. It is for those of us who offer what we take - see and be seen.

RE:Trying it on

I suspect that some of the applicants read 'Dare to Bare' and take that to mean that they can join to see nudists who do bare all without worrying who sees them. Rather than it being a place where only those who bare all can see each other. They might see the group as a clothing optional beach where nudists and textiles mix rather than a nudist club where everyone is naked.

I'm not looking to make an excuse for voyeurs. I found it interesting that the other 'DARE TO BE BARE' group on TN is public and has far less members, do the voyeurs maybe believe that they'll see things here that they won't in a public group?! Quite a few groups seem to currently be going through their memberships to remove non-participating people. I think that is a good thing, especially if it encourages nudists to join in who are not open to the world about their way of life.

RE:Trying it on

You get it all the time, unfortunately.
I am a moderator of a Flickr group called " Nude pictures with 10,000 or more views" and am constantly having to reject fully clothed pictures with only a couple of hundred views, in spite of submitting members being required to agree to a very explicit set of rules.

PS I am glad to see you have taken the precaution of having a second moderator so that the group can stay alive in the event of your incapacity.
