Another nude hike
Got up this morning and wanted to get a hike in before it got hot. Jumped in truck and drove over to the trails parking area nude. No one was there so hopped out of truck and strolled across the road and entered the trails. Got in an hpur hike and the only down side was all the spider webs across the trail. Got to the end of the loop and strolled back across the road to the parking area and snapped a pic with the State Natural area sign in the background.(pic is in my media)
that's the second criteria I use when I evaluate how safe it is to be naked on the trail....the number of cars in the parking lot is the first. Course, I'm 6-2, so even if somebody is ahead of me, I'm still likely to get the high ones. I'll be out hiking this weekend.
Spider webs across the trail is a good indication that no one has been through there for awhile.
The Naturist Society guide to nude hiking also cites spider webs as a good indicator that there is nobody ahead of you on the trail. I read it many years ago and have used that tip often on the outbound part of a trail.
Sounds like a nice hike OP had!
Fellow Tennessee resident here. Watch the damn chiggers this year!
If you get chiggers on you, get some Lysol Concentrate and put a small dab of it on each one. Wait a few minutes and then take a shower. This works better than any OTC chigger remedy and is cheaper, too. If you have Many on you, then just pour some in bath water and soak in it for awhile to get rid of them. If you don't want to smell like Lysol when you're done, take a shower to wash it off. This was advice from a pharmacist many years ago and it still works like a charm.
