Baked speckled trout. Go out to your favorite fishing spot and catch an 18-21 inch spec. Clean and de fin the spec. sprinkle with seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder. lay on foil and put dabs of butter on top of it and then wrap. bake at 300 for 20-30 minutes till fish is flaky. Serves two. This will also work over a camp fire on the beach if no oven is available, just don't remember amount of time, have to judge according to your fire.
Love this one, Thomas. One of my favorite camping recipes. Usually try to throw in some chopped onion and green pepper as well. Have had it baked in oven and over open campfire. Campfire gives the best flavor!
I love homemade soup. Anybody have any good soup recipes to share?
One of our favorites is a potato soup that my sweet wife makes. It's a pretty simple recipe. She sweats some onions and celery in the pot until carmelizing, then fills with about 3 quarts of chicken broth (or water, but chicken broth is richer), then we cube some red potatoes (you can use irish) and boil until tender. At the end, we make a thickener of instant mashed potatoes and milk and pour in. Season to taste. It's really great on a cold night.

i douse the same spices salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika. for other things, like asian food I like using the sauces instead of spices for flavor.
as for what i'm making for dinner:
tortillas and eggs
sautee some breakfast meat in a little butter, I use 1 link of chorizo, when the chorizo is 3/4 cooked, throw 1/2 an onion, diced, in and sautee until soft, next cut 3-4 corn tortillas into chip sized rounds and throw them in, when they're a little crispy, throw in 3-4 eggs and finish with desired amount of cheddar cheese.
"Hey, what time is dinner? I'll be right over! Wearing my favorite outfit - a smile! LOL Jen" Come on over -- as long as you bring dessert!
Margarita Pie, Buttermilk Pie or Brownies? Which would you prefer?
Anything as long as someone else does the cooking. LOL
