Slept in a bit too late
I awoke just before sunrise to some ground fog and thanks to recent rains, corn tall enough to mostly hide me from the road. I did do a 1/4 mile out along the edge of the field with nothing but Crocs on and not even shorts in my hand before deciding that the quickly dissipating fog and growing daylight still left me a bit too exposed to go further. If I had had gotten a 30 min earlier start I would have gone much further up the lane. Well maybe tomorrow when I have a nudist buddy who is staying here this eve to hike along.
I rose early and drove to the 7 bridges walk near the popular Fountains Abbey. I decided to do a circular walk up through all 7 bridges and into the Abbey grounds, leaving all my clothes at the start point. Maybe I started too late, was too slow or stopped to take too many photos. As I was about 3/4 of the way round I met the early morning dog walkers. Not just one but several. They could see I was naked. I was a long way from my car and from my clothes so could not escape. I just sat and "admired the view" as they passed.
today was perfect. woke up at 6;15 and brushed my teeth. Put my Crocs on my feet and headed out the door into the half hour before sunrise dead calm morning. Just the early birds, crickets and distance trains. Not a breath of air moving on this humid morning. Walked up the conservation strip of knee high weedy grass along the now head high corn. Total walk time 25 min which means i made it out over 1/2 mile to the where the corn gives way to much shorter beans before heading back home. great way to start the day.
