War on Male Nudity

The United States of America is greatly divided in many things. One subject of division is male nudity, and in all places, in the men's locker room. Only 40 years ago this was not a big issue. What I find surprising is that when I did research on this subject the issue on male nudity is divided between people of the same political parties, same religions or non-religions, same genders, same moral views, from the same regions (Rural and Urban), same generations, and living the same lifestyle. So what is it about male nudity that is causing a large division in the United States? You can't blame it on Politics, Religion, Lifestyle, Beliefs, or Locations. Right now the idea of generation differences and anti masculinity is being pushed in the public's eyes. Is that how the average American thinks? I don't personally believe the average American even cares.

Journalists have long sought to sensationalise anything and everything but I feel that the world wide same time access to things via the internet has meant that nothing can be low key.
So the vocal minority can now impose their opinions on everyone and journalist are keen to jump on the story because they are desperate for something to report

As a consequence I fear that public nudity is seen as just to risky and hence many shy away from it

It's the fact that male nudity is seen as something evil, and female nudity is more accepted. Just look at the laws in Queensland. Sad that people shooting each other is alright, but the naked human body is bad.

Whats also interesting - why is the female nude used extensively in advertising were as the male is not. Also in art female nutity is more portrayed . I believe its a cultural thing - a sort of cultural hang up.

Most societies are patriarchal . Governed by men . It would be interesting to see how male nudity is fewed if society was governed by women . Most opinions and rules on male nudity are , I suspect are made by men.
