What can nudists do to make nudism more acceptable?

Most important factor is: stop hiding nudity. Nudists tend to flock together behind huge fences yelling to the world how theyre not accepted. We think that the key is in clothing optional. Let people see who we are, what we do and how we are not ashamed to expose our bodies. Only then people will get a more normalised idea about nudity.

I totally agree. I have a lot of friends that aren't or should I say weren't nudist until I introduced them to it by being nude at home when they arrived and are nudist now.

If you have enough nudist friends you can hire your local swimming pool from the council for one evening a week. That is what some nudists have done in parts of Greater Manchester. It makes the idea of healthy nudity quite normal in the mind of the general public. Films like 'Calendar Girls' also promote a positive, fun image.

I am naturally averse to isms. Like religion and politics, they tend to navel gaze and divide people. So I'm not much for nudism in that regard, but I will speak highly of the freedom I feel without clothes, and the bonding that's enabled when people stop hiding behind them.
One thing I've done is to maintain a casual relationship with clothes, with or without them. If I spill on my pants or shirt, I take it off. If I'm paining or cleaning a bathroom and clothes are a burden, I'll take them off. Yes I need to be respectful and ask rather than offend, but if you position people's openness to how you're too lazy for laundry vs. being nudist evangelist, the lazy ass wins the race.
