Lady Jane Beach, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Lady Jane Beach is Sydney's oldest nudist Beach. If you look at a map of Sydney it will be called Lady Bay but I've never hear anyone call it anything but Lady Jane. It is the closest beach to the central busness district or CBD (down town). It is in Sydney Harbour National Park inside the Harbour on South Head. It is the easiest Sydney Nudist Beach to get to by public transport. Either get a ferry from Circler Quay or a bus from Elizabeth Street (by Hyde Park) to Watson Bay. Walk from Watsons Bay to Camp Cove Beach and then facing the water to your right you will see some steps and a track. Follow the track past the until you come to a sighn posted sighn and some steps leading down to Lady Jane beach. Because it is close to the city annd is easy to get to you may get a few gawking tourist and it can be a bit of a gay crusing scene but I've never had any problem there,
For Oprah she can also get the ferry from Circular Quay! I used to live at Watsons bay and it was my favourite. It faces north is small intimate beach and was very popular in the &0's and *0's but in later years has become known as a gay beach. It is a wonderful beach to sunbake on and swim at and close to the famous resturant Doyles. Watsons bay itself is wonderful and if you get the chance as a tourist or even Sydney resident spends a few hours there. Heaven in summer and autumn and can even sunbake for a few hours in winter.

Comments here sum up my memories of nude times at this beach well. I went there a few times some years back when visiting Sydney, friendly and easy going. Its always good to have nudist places that are fairly easy to get to in big cities and this one is in a great location.
As an American, I had an opportunity to go to Lady Jane back in 2000. My pastor was asked by a bunch of churches in Wollongong to hold our crusade in their town, and our team spent five days in Sydney before heading south. I had planned on going there (on my own of course, but the schedule simply did not work out, since I decided to visit your Awesome Blue Mountains with friends instead. I have to relate a funny story though. As a member of the crusade team, I was able to go on a free catered tour of the harbor with my fellow team members, and it really was a fantastic cruise. But when we got to a certain point, the ship captain came on the loud speaker and said, "and off our starboard bow you will see one of Sydney's famous nude beaches, Lady Jane Beach!". I think every person on board that ship turned to the port side (turning their backs on the beach), except your's truly. I thought it was typical of American misunderstanding of Victorian values, and thought how sad it was that so many Christians are ignorant of what the Bible says about the subject of non-sexual nudity. I wish I were brave enough to have given a sermon on the topic right there and then, but alas, I can not overcome that kind of ingrained ignorance.
Ignorance, BTW, simply means a lack of knowledge. I use that word in the true sense, because many Christians just assume that nudity equals sex, and therefore think it is a bad thing, when there are many examples of non-sexual nudity in the Bible that is a good thing.
