Man smells
Taking Nudist Pigs earlier thread:
Human sexual development is uneven between individuals and may vary wildly in terms of effects and triggers. There were other things at play in that moment for all of us. 1) Scent. Feces, Urine, Sweat, Musk, ever single body secretion that contains pheromones is in that locker room. It's a soup of male sex chemicals. The first thing to hit anyone going in for the first time was the smell. Whether you acknowledge it or not, it was there. The first place you noticed nude bodies was in the change room. Then the shower. Then the pool. The whole mixture of masculinity was easily overwhelming for most youngsters. So my point is if there was a forge, it was much bigger and wider than imagined and it is not reducible to sight alone. And those of us who respond to the male pheromones overwhelmingly turn out to be bi or gay and that's not an accident.
I'm curious if there are others like me who see man smells as part of one's allure? I believe that offensive odors come from bacteria feeding off of old sweat, and that fresh sweat has a positive, primal quality to it. Im all for unscented good hygiene. That makes me skeptical of colognes and avoiding all scented laundry detergent, room and car deodorizers and those essential oil misters with LED lights as emasculating. I want my man smell to be subtle enough not to be consciously noticed but authentic enough to speak to the unconscious.
Man smells are a bit like nudity: honest, open, and a bit exhibitionist. Cover up perfumed smells are like clothes: sheltering and deemed appropriate but at the expense of hiding our beauty and uniqueness. So do you go nudie or textile smell?

These wonderful comparisons explain how I approach my day-to-day life. When preparing for work, I put on my uniform, including deodorants and a touch of cologne. However, when visiting the nudist park or even visiting good friends, I'll skip all that and just stick to a basic shower: my "honest" self, as you would say. If I know that friend is an olfactophile, I may even skip the shower also!
P.S. There's your ten-dollar word of the day.
I love and enjoy my natural scent as well but when I get ready for work or go out I do put on deodorant. For me it's just polite. I don't like being next to someone at a restaurant or movie theater who reeks of B.O. It's different in nudist situation. If I'm at the nude beach or being intimate with another man, it's nice to be free of any unnatural body scents. Also there is something that is intoxicating and erotic about the scent of a mans body after he's been working all day. Be it sweaty balls or ass crack the scent left on underwear or a jockstrap. What one of us men has not taken a deep inhale of that and not enjoyed it? Be it my own or someone else it's almost "primal" if you will. Lets not be shy or ashamed about it, it is how we are and part of being a man as far as I'm concerned.
I prefer to skip a deodorant when I can. Dinners or work require something to block armpit scent. Mine get ripe easily and I luv that. Nice to skip a shower and indulge in the various man smells our bodies create. Luv exploring and sharing musky places. Seeing hair makes me feel Im in for a treat.
I am a naturist, or nudist. I like to be naked, but I am not one to parade around where everyone can see me. I like my privacy at home.
However when I used to go to a gym... the showers are in open cubicles. There are walls but no door. One day the gym installed shower curtains. Not everyone closed them. Sometimes guys would peer out from behind the curtain, and soap up really well, and put on a bit of a show. I have been on both ends of that, and it was kind of fun. Guys like to show off and blow off steam.
Also in the sauna of the gym, in the men's locker room. One day the guy on the bench below me, at my feet was trying to massage his neck. I asked if he wanted help. I ended up massaging his neck and back. It turned a lot of guys on. I felt like I was going against the pack, but it was not sexual.
Afraid I'm in the minority in this group. I love a man smell if he's clean but body sweat or smelly underarms or ass cracks. No way ! Sorry boys , to me that's just nasty and would make me vomit. And yes I use deodorant. Nothing worse than stinky BO. Dang...I don't know how you guys can do it .. LOL ..
