Carolina Thanksgiving Feast report & upcoming
Members from the SC upstate as well as the Midlands, NC, and GA along with prospective members gathered to once more give thanks for our ability to enjoy our clothes-free way to relax and de-stress. The weather was cool but sunny.
Thank you very much to Frank from NC, who gets the acknowledgment for the furthest traveling, for helping throughout the day and for presenting the club with a lovely female nude statue that will be placed in the Travelites' garden. Thank you too to Mike from GA for helping with the leaf bagging.
The infrared, deep-friend turkey was yummy as were all the sides and desserts including the layered salad, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls & real butter, rice pudding, stuffing, brownies, ice cream, mincemeat torte among the favorites. There were just about no leftovers.
The hot tub was enjoyed throughout the event as people took turns to try to melt away the calories. It was nice visiting with friends and look forward to the club's next event on Nov. 20th in Ridgeway, SC, the annual Lobster Bash and Oyster Roast.
The cost will be $29 for 2# lobsters and $9 for oysters. There will be other dishes available for those who are unable to eat seafood, plus of course what you bring. So far, we will have a pineapple upside down cake, wheat pasta Alfredo, and steamed shrimp. One of our members will be bringing oyster stew that he has perfected. The fun starts @ 4pm. Your check is your receipt, and we need to know no later than Nov. 12 so the food can be ordered.
