Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

If anyone wants a good fiction/history/romance/fantasy series to read, try Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Yeah, I'm a guy and I did say romance, but Gabaldon's an excellent writer and she's woven such an excellent story combining fictional characters, Scottish and American history, romance, warfare,...and time travel. It's also a pretty good series on Showtime which is overseen by Gabaldon herself, which is soon going to start its third season.

I have listened to it on audio books. The wife read the books. Oh the show is so close to the books. Just cannot wait to see them in America.

I've listened to a couple of these as audiobooks, and I enjoyed them. Modern people/technology being transported to historical times is a genre I quite like, and these fit right in.
