I love Mrs. Bucket. No, sorry, Mrs. Bouquet :-D
My parents never missed a single episode of Keeping Up Appearances". And I've always found Hyacinth's attitude towards "those horrible nudists" absolutely hilarious. :-D
In fact I've enjoyed several of those old British comedies. My all time favorite though was "Allo' Allo'!" I've watched most, if not all, of those episodes more than once. And they're just as funny the second or third time I see them.
I seldom watch TV anymore. I think the last time my TV was on, I watched the Saints beat the Buccaneers. That was almost two weeks ago. I probably won't turn it on again until Nov 8th when they play each other again lol!
We stopped watching network TV quite a long time ago... something like 4-5 years!? Got tired of the stupid commercials, the political ads and waiting the entire week before the next episode would air. We watch a lot of Netflix, Hulu, Prime video and some HBO. We currently only watch one program, which we record so we can zoom through the commercials, on BBC America; The Graham Norton Show. Other than that, lately we've been on a Denzel Washington movie kick. ;D
Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah (time-shifted on DVR so we can sleep before midnight). Without their biting but insightful and humorous take on current events, tempered by their underlying optimism, I'd find it hard to keep my chin up. Laughter really is the best medicine.
Hogan's Heroes, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres.....I like the 60s era comedies. Can't help it. Life is a little too weird and serious right now, so I like watching shows that take me back to my childhood, and were funny and happy.
