What is a nude beach

I thought nude means no clothes so why do I go to pirates cobe nude beach in Pismo Beach CA and see clothes?

And sex? I thought sex is forbidden at a nude beach? Isn't a woman with her hand on a hard cock and stroking considered sex?

About maybe 10 people there and 4-5 guys are nude and 1 female topless.
Saw a couple of people walking by.
Also saw what I perceive as a heterosexual couple that was actually two guys, then a clothes female met them later.
Another couple stopped and layed down and never saw her fully nude.

My perception was the most beautiful girls were fully clothed and the average one was topless so where are the fully nude women?
So why don't we just call them clothing optional beaches and stop misleading people.

Just another lesson in perception, you picture something and it never comes to frutition when you see it.

Lastly I think I will leave God forsaken Vegas and look for a nudist friendly environment, any suggestions?

RE:Need some advice

At all nude beaches I've been to I've seen clothed individuals here in the USA, Black Beach, Playalinda, Blind Creek Beach, Hallover (even in the area that you can go nude). I don't think there is any 'rule' says you have to be nude, it's that you are allowed to be nude or in any state of nudism if you choose to.

I'm like you, if you are going to a place you can be nude, then why not go nude. But them there are those that maybe there for the firs time and are not yet comfortable to go totally nude. I recall at Black Beach a couple arrived. They set up, got nude, even when swimming and surfing. Then suddenly they got dress and shortly afterwards another couple joined them. They all stayed clothed for a while. Then the couple that was nude before got nude and went back to swimming and surfing while other couple stayed back clothed. Eventually the clothed couple got undressed to swimware and joined the other nude couple.

Yes I did find it annoying at first but now it's like, I'm free to be nude so be it and I enjoy been nude.

There is no beach in the US which is "nude," there are some which are "clothing optional" (too few, unfortunately). What I like is the nude option, and if my non-nudists friends want to join me on a CO beach I am glad to share it with them. I am not there to resent the pretty people who choose not to go nude because it interferes with my ogling. I am just so glad I can enjoy it nude.

So alfresco

I now understand that there is no such thing as a nude beach. They should all be clothing optional because if they are still almost all clothes then nude is a eternal misnomer.

Not sure why you all say sex is not allowed even lone woodys when I saw full blown sex 2 days in a row

I will officially declare no nude beaches in the USA at least.

So you have some sort of authority to make a official deceleration ? Or is just opinion. Just asking. As far as totally nude beaches I guess that depends on your definition of a beach. I am not aware of any beaches along a body of water considered a ocean in the United States that are officially for nude use only. I do know that there are some nude only resorts that have lakes and ponds with beach like facilities in the United States.

As for sex at nude beaches, as with most places in the United States sex in public is almost always a illegal activity. One sure way to get a clothing optional or nudist location closed is public sexual activity. But rather then act like the morality police I think its better to try and educate the users of these locations that some behaviors can cause the loss of such locations

If the beach is public, and not private the US constitution guarantees the right of the beachgoers to wear what they want to. You cannot enforce a nude only policy. Those beaches that are clothing optional are either grandfathered into local law or they have special ordinances, or they are remote and quasi legal.

Nude beach is what beaches where nudism was practiced were called in the beginning, because nudists went to them. The term clothing optional is legally based. Calling a beach that allows nudity a nude beach carries risk in terms of potential human rights issues, but one that is clothign optional is not prescriptive.

Europe has remote nude beaches, the FKK and HKK beaches but the US has no body to regulate these places.

RE:Need some advice

I think everyone has covered this pretty well, but I'm gonna add my bit anyway.

There are no *NUDE* beaches, only clothing optional ones.

This is a good thing otherwise I would not be able to go to one as my wife will not get naked, and I will not spend a day on the beach without my wife. Many of the people who do not get naked are textile friends of nudists and are at least happy and comfortable to be around nudists. God knows we could do with more people like this.

Unfortunately, as with all aspects of life, there are people who either do not understand the rules, or choose to break them. Some people who visit nude beaches (UK based as well as US) are not really nudists but are swingers. Some may well be both. This is one of the real problems textiles have with nudists and nudist beaches, they can't tell us apart, and the sexual activity is why we keep losing C/O beaches.

While not actually being a sexual activity, your moan about the pretty ladies staying dressed while the *average* lady got naked also shows a less than pure reason for going to a nudist beach.

My opinion I think when assigned as a nude beach legally, it's actually meant to be a clothing-optional beach. Precisely because no one, not the gov't or authority, is enforcing it as a mandatory-nude beach. Furthermore, the beaches & surroundings are not enclosed or barricaded, unless they are private land.

So far, the many legal nude beaches I've been to in Australia and New Zealand are all clothing-optional.

If there is any mandatory-nude beaches, I would surely like to know. Thank you.
