Acceptance IRL

Hey everyone, I'm an 18 year old interested in nudism. Being an Indian, I've been brought up to see being naked as taboo, even if it's in your own house. A few times I've had the opportunity to spend time naked when I was home alone. And I must say, it was the best feeling of my life. Clothes were made to protect us from the elements, to keep us warm. And where I live(I'm from TN) you don't need clothes to be warm. Somewhere along the way, humans apparently decided that clothes protect our "modesty" and it has remained that way since. I've seen that some foreign countries have a pretty open attitude. Why can't India be like this? I realise there are perverts who see nudism as something sexual, but that could have been so different, if only they had been brought up a bit differently. Heck, I would say my parents are liberal, but once when my mother "caught" me naked, she couldn't meet my eyes for a good while. Sure, the fact that there's an online group for Indian nudists is positive, but I don't see much activity here either.
