World record

Maybe not a dare as it's set up. On Saturday evening we'll be attempting to break the world record for the number of nudes on a fairground ride. It will be on the Grand National roller coaster in Blackpool. It will be published and in the Guinness Book of Records. The down side is that rain is forecast. We need at least 103 nudists.

It's something even my textile friends are interested in.

My daring may well stretch to being naked at Blackpool pleasure beach, but it won't stretch to going on the Grand National :)

Wish I could be there too! Have occasionally ridden a coaster at a beach in just a a swimsuit and it felt good, but nude sounds even better!

I understand they're full up now, and are looking to double the existing record.

I'm sure they'd still appreciate moral support on the day.

Good luck everyone and I hope everything goes well, including the weather

It went ahead and, assuming it is ratified by Guinness, the world record now stands at 195.

Well done everyone who took part, hope there is some good publicity from this event

There was some well balanced publicity for this and other events of the BN Blackpool weekend but unfortunately they attracted a lot of nasty bigoted comments and a small number of violent protesters requiring police presence.

Violent protesters? I can understand why people might protest this, but getting violent over a bunch of naked people? Some folks just never learned not to throw tantrums - emotional age about two! I hope the violent ones get charged for their crimes.

Unfortunately this seems to be a image of the U.K. into the future, total isolation and small island mentality.
