Personal Hero
Nowadays there are so many heroes and super heroes in blockbuster movies, but I could never admire any of those...not even Wonder Woman, LOL
When it comes to real people my hero was always Ayrton Senna. I love cars, I love driving fast, I love Formula 1, and to me Ayrton Senna was the best ever! (personal opinion. I know many people will disagree). To me he was so humble, so dedicated, quiet, introverted. Yet when it came to racing, especially in the rain, Senna was one of the best ever!
But when it comes to think of a fictional character to consider a personal hero, I can only think of Goofy! Goofy is my hero!!
Not typical, I know. Most people would thing of any other character but never of the sort of dumb Disney character.
But if you think about it, Goofy should be a sort of guidance to all of us. I always admired that ability to try something...fail...fall...and always be ready to stand up with a smile, dust off himself, and willing to try again or something else. Always taking things in the positive side. Even when afraid and in the need to run for his life, still managed to, once the danger was over, not feel frustrated, with anger, traumatized, or whatever negative feelings that we, real humans, cannot shake so easily.
To me Goofy was the kind of personality we all should aim to achieve to become more positive and caring people. I certainly have a long way to go! (like most people...don't lie about you, LOL).
So what is your "personal" hero? The one that inspire you to be like him/her in your everyday living? The one you will spend the rest of your life trying to emulate?
Snoopy! Snoopy just doesnt care what other people think and enjoys life; hanging out with Woodstock, having fun imagining fighting the Red Baron, playing shortstop, while also caring about those around him by giving a dog kiss to Lucy when shes down, playing with Linus by stealing his blanket, etc. Snoopy just says to me heres how to enjoy life. Plus, yes, hes a dog, but also a nudist, no clothes like many other cartoon characters and a nudist mentality of I dont care what other people think, Im going to enjoy life.
If you ever happen to be in Santa Rosa, the Charles Schultz Museum is worth a visit.
Snoopy! Yes, Snoopy is awesome! I too love that attitude of don't care what you think of me, and having fun, and enjoying life with simple things.
If I happen to go to Santa Rosa I'll search for that museum. Thank you for the tip.
Hugs

When considering cartoon characters, I vote for Wile E. Coyote. No matter how many times he's foiled, get gives it another try. You do have to consider that only in cartoons can a character survive falls from great heights, being hit with an anvil, run over by a truck, or have a stick of dynamite go off in his hand.
In real life, it's my dad. He was a very kind, and generous man who made thoughtful decisions and made his community a better place to live. He passed that on to all of his five sons.
