Romance Scams from Ghana
Has anyone heard of this before? I found out the hard way. Ghana and I read Nigeria are notorious for this kind of activity. The day I joined this site, I was messaged by what I thought was a young lady in Berekum, Ghana. We spoke for the next couple of weeks, but the first week she said she loved me, wanted to be my wife, etc. As it happened, within a few days she had conned me out of a significant amount of money. She wanted more, but the company that transfers money to people denied the transfer. So I started doing some research and found the information below. Please read and watch the BBC's video. The US Embassy is only text. Be warned this is very real and true. I have tried to contact the admins of this site, but have had no responses. I am trying to help others not get caught up in this scam. I will say that this user lists herself as being from Dormaa, Berekum, GH

Latest update: Today the admins deleted this scammers account. No one else should be scammed by her.
I haven't heard of romance scams, but I was getting bombarded thick and hard with nigerian money scams. usually claiming some huge sum of money obtained from somewhere and wanted help transferring it to american bank. Offering a percentage of it in exchange for the help. Get into it and there will be fees. release fees and whatever they can dream up. If one falls for it, sends the fee money, it's gone. The original supposed huge sum of money never existed to start with. The first one that hit me I cautiously investigated until I found evidence it was a scam, then shut them off. They finally let up on it, but I still get one in my email rarely.
