Extracts from the Essene Gospel of Peace II
Extracts from the Essene Gospel of Peace; the words of Jesus, translated, allegedly, from the original Aramaic, by Edmund Bordeaux Szekely in the 1920s.
"Seek the fresh air of the forest and of the fields, and there in the midst of them shall you find the Angel of the Air. Put off your shoes and your clothing and suffer the Angel of the Air to embrace your body. Then breathe long and deeply, that the angel of the air may be brought within you... For I tell you truly, holy is the Angel of the Air, who cleanses all that is unclean. Truly all must be born again by air and by truth, for your body breathes the air of the Earthly Mother, and your spirit breathes the truth of the Heavenly Father"
"After the Angel of the Air, seek the Angel of Water. Put off your shoes and your clothing and suffer the Angel of Water to embrace all your body. Cast yourselves wholly into his enfolding arms, and as often as you move the air with your breath, move with your body the water also. I tell you truly, the Angel of Water shall cast out your body all uncleannesses which defiled it without and within...."Think not that Angel of Water embrace embrace you outwards only. I tell you truly, the uncleanness within is greater by much than the uncleanness without." (The text goes on to describe how to perform colonic irrigation, which I will omit here).
"Afterward... seek the Angel of Sunlight. . Put off your shoes and your clothing and suffer the Angel of Sunlight to embrace all your body. Then breathe long and deeply, that the Angel of Sunlight may be brought within you...Truly, all must be born again of sun and of truth, for your body basks in the sunlight of the Earthly Mother, and your spirit basks in the sunlight of the truth of the Heavenly Father."
The Essenes were a strict Jewish sect who lived in Judea, near the Dead Sea, in biblical times. They were healers, astrologers, mathematicians, skilled in metallurgy and very learned people. The most famous Essene was, of course, Jesus.
From what I have read so far, I gather that Jesus was a vegetarian, believed in a Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother, advocated nudism, sunbathing, water immersion, and colonic irrigation. If he did, in fact, write the Essene Gospel of Peace, he was very well-educated and eloquent.
This is great! Little is known about the Essenes, but the Dead Sea Scrolls are commonly believed to be the Essenes' library. The speculation that Yeshua, before he was repackaged with the Greek name Jesu or in the 1600's the name Jesus, was either an Essene or influenced by them.
This Essene Gospel didn't make it into the Bible, but from Matthew is a similar pro-nudism text related to the Sermon on the Mount and did:
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
