Advertising Nudist Lifestyle
Who makes their preference for being nude known in a public, non-nudist setting.
I am asking because one of the members of a community band I am in has worn t shirts expressing his interest in nude recreation, as well as ones from Gunnison and Haulover.
I am not that open about it and wondered if others were .
Missed an opportunity to share my live stly
When going somewhere in the summer, I often drive in just shorts and put my shirt and sandals on when I get there, if it is a place where I need them. I play in three community bands, and have been seen putting on or taking off shirt and shoes by other band members on many occasions. One time one of the men said to me in a pleasant and somewhat humorous way that he sometimes thinks that I wish I could take everything off and just live nude.
I gave him a vague answer by asking if he has ever noticed that another band menber sometimes wears shirts advertising his nudist lifestyle.
I worn a shirt I got at Cypress Cove several years ago out to restaurants etc. quite a few times. The shirts, especially on the back, clearly had the words Nudist Resort Even when standing in line of other times where it had been plainly visible I havent gotten any negative reactions. I paid attention and I really think most people dont really read or pay attention to peoples shirt designs.

I guess not. When I mentioned asked the one band member if he had ever noticed the wording on some of the shirts the other one wears, he said he hadn't , and they sit in the same section!
I do in discrete ways. I often wear my Orient Land Trust t-shirt. Most people are clueless to what it represents, but if someone who's been there see's it, they get it. I also have a T-shirt showing a group of sheep with one of them shaved clean with the caption "Irish Nudist", and another from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota with four bears "Baring" their backsides with the caption "Bear it all in the Boundary Waters"

In 2010 I participated in the first Bare Burro run at Olive Dell resort.
All the runners received a T-shirt to commemorate the run.
It took some time and a few nude experiences but eventually I started to wear the shirt in public.
I wore that shirt for several years until it wore out.
In all those years there was only one time when someone actually acknowledged the shirt and gave me a thumbs up.
This happened while I was riding the subway from North Hollywood to Los Angeles and he was too far away for me to start any conversation.
All I could do was nod my head in response.
At this years World Naked Bike Ride in Los Angeles, the group NITOC (Naturist in the Orange County) had t-shirts for sale promoting the ride.
I have worn this shirt out in public many times, grocery shopping, hardware store, etc., and so far not a single comment or even a second glance.
Attached is a picture of me wearing the shirt.
I have thought of purchasing other nudist themed items, but if no one notices something like this, short of simply going out nude, I do not see much point in spending the money on something else that will not be noticed.
Let me be clear about one thing. I am not doing this to draw attention to myself. I am a very reserved person and feel uncomfortable being the focus of attention.
I do this because I feel strongly that as a nudist it is my responsibility to make people realize that nudist are normal people who do normal everyday things except we would prefer not to be forced to wear cloths all the time.
