Heavens Crooked Finger by Hank Early
Earl Marcus grew up in the mountains as a preachers kid; when he lost his religion due his fathers overwhelming fervor, he left home and became a policeman in NC. He never thought of returning home until a friend asked him to look into the disappearance of a mutual friend. The fact that his father was dead would hopefully make the return trip home less stressful. However, the stress of going home was more pronounced because people still saw him as the prodigal child and the reports of his father being deceased may have been premature.
Lessons from Lucy by Dave Barry
Dave Barry, the well-known columnist talks about what he is learning from his dog, Yes, he makes jokes about how dogs like sniffing butts; they stiff pretty much ANY butt without discrimination. Im still listening to this so I can add more later.
