Hey Nude PDX Peeps!

Was thinking of heading to Rooster Rock today but wanted to be able to walk across to the island. Water levels are looking low so just trying to confirm that some folks have been able to walk across the sand bridge. Would love company if anyone wants to join!

Hey Folks!

Let me answer my own question. Yes!! I was able to wade across to the Rooster Rock Island. The trick is to follow a diagonal line from the West tip of the island to the center of the main beach area and make sure the water level is 3-4 feet (Google Columbia River Water levels). I decided to risk it for the biscuit since the bugs were plague like on the main beach. Clearly it was full mating season for the bugs and they were in a total frenzy. So fair warning. Great for hiking yesterday but only the island was nice for lying out.

I was at Rooster Rock Wednesday. It was perfect! I go out to Sand Island where I set up my shade tent then float around on my air mattress. If you see me out there stop by and say hi.

Im at Collins Beach today waiting for the clouds to burn off .
