if you have the picture in your image. go to your media tab and at the bottom click on the small thumbtack . make it the default cover.

I have it in my media tab and when l click on the thumbtack it says l dont have permission to perform the action.

Humm that sucks. I am new to this as well. if you made the group I would think it would let you.

try and use your own picture . like the one you have on your profile.

I see now that your profile is differnt from the group. you have your set to private. so there must be somewhere to just change the group it self.

You are the moderator, so you should be able to approve the picture and then choose it as the profile picture. I was able to do this with my skinny dipping group. I uploaded pictures, approved them and then chose one as the profile pic for the group.
