HBO Chernobyl (Full Frontal M)
I suggest listening to the Podcast as well. It helps contextualize the events and timeline of the series. Yes, the series is depressing, but it's important to not forget the people who suffered, sacrificed, and died from this tragedy. I was more shocked by how little I knew about the accident and this part of the world, and I feel like we owe it to those people to learn more about the disaster they endured.
Regarding the nudity in Ep 3. This is how it really happened according to witnesses. The conditions were unbelievable. They weren't even allowed to use fans because they didn't want to spread the contaminated dust around the job site any more than necessary.
HBO in general has really been pushing the frontal male nudity lately. High Maintenance shows a good amount, and even depicts normal nudist lifestyles, which is fun to see. Euphoria has A LOT of full frontal, including erections, masturbation, and an amazing slow mo locker room scene of guys shaking their dicks around horse-playing in a high school locker room. I had to watch that scene like 5 times. LOL.
Very well said Taller -- after seeing the scene in Chernobyl about the miners, I googled naked miners -- and it was very common practice for miners to work in the nude -- it was more comfortable in hot mine shafts but also was a practical in that they weren't ruining their clothes or accumulating dust on their clothes that weighed them down...
I booked a tour for next month that includes a tour of Chernobyl on the day after my birthday. Figure it will be the most unusual birthday experience ever. Everyone is asking me if i have seen the series. I have not and at this point want to wait until i get home to watch it. Want to experience it first hand first. Then see what Hollywood did to it. The tour strongly suggests long sleeve shirts for the tour, so I guess I won't be doing it in the nude bummer.
