I took our boat out to Kemil on the Friday before the 4th of July last weekend. Found a quiet spot a ways West of the Kemil entrance and dropped anchor definitely within state park territory. Since I'd been nude for the cruise and there was no one around on the beach, I climbed up on the bow nude to cleat the anchor line. When I got back down into the cockpit, I realized that I hadn't backed in far enough and the water was still too deep off the swim deck, so I went back up on the bow, uncleated the anchor, re-positioned the boat, and went back up on the bow to re-cleat the anchor. Finally, I gathered my stuff and waded into shore, still completely naked.
Once I got settled, I did put a thong on because there were a couple of people walking in my direction. Luckily, I had the thong on because about 15 minutes later, a state park ranger rolled up on a 4-wheeler and claimed that it's illegal to anchor and wade ashore in the state park. I didn't argue and I left. I've anchored off the State Park beaches many times before, but I'm guessing they were being ultra-conservative for the holiday weekend. Anyway, I spent the next 4 hours drifting about a mile offshore laying out naked on the bow.
This weekend I'm thinking of scouting out Mount Baldy instead of Kemil. It's in the National Park territory and some friends went there last weekend. She was topless with a g-string and he said that there was another topless woman there. He wore a thong.

My husband and I love going nude along Lake Michigan. We stay at Two Rivers State Forest and even hike nude along some of the trails.
Im interested in learning more! I found a Point Beach State Forest, along Lake Michigan north of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and a Two Rivers State Forest in Florida. Is Point Beach another name for it?
Made my way out to Kemil for the first time this morning. It was probably a little busier than usual near the entrance because Washington Park in Michigan City was closed by the mayor this morning. I think I found the right area and laid out for about an hour before I had to head back. There was one other man in the area sunbathing in a thong. He was a little standoffish when I asked if this was a good area for more exposure. So I was on my own. I guess I should have taken better mental note of the photos in this thread to recognize some kind of landmark. Made me think that there should be some kind of waymarking code to alert fellow nudists where good spots to sunbathe are. (Kind of like hobos used during the depression.)
Anyway, it was a good walk and nice to get the lay of the land for hopefully a quieter visit next time.
Weather looking good today and tomorrow for going to the state park secluded beach this weekend. On my fourth visit this season, a few weeks ago, one other male nudie was there and a couple came for the first time. He skinny-dipped and she went topless.
First time at Kemil in more than a decade. One nude dude on the beach who was trying to cover up but I told him "don't worry about it". I could see there were people way up at the tops of dunes, good spots, I wasn't going to violate social distancing to find out if they were True Believers.
But everything West of the entrance is technically State Park, and going east is way too civilized. You could get into bigger trouble in the State Park.
