RE:Etiquette

In all my travels I have never heard of this 'rule'. It seems stupid to us Aussies, yet you are a Queenslander!
I often take off my sunnies when meeting people, but put them on immediately as the sunlight (even cloudy days) hurts my eyes. Its a heath issue. Nudists, of all people should realize this.

I remember reading in some book about nudism to leave sunglasses off - which of course will make for a lot of squinting. I like the suggestion about taking them off when having a conversation.

The only glasses I have heard absolutely not to be worn is Google glasses. (video glasses) You might think well da!! however I have seen it attempted a couple times.

So I wonder what theyd do about people that have to wear sunglasses due to medical reasons? I too have never heard of such a ridiculous rule.

I've never heard of this. But I've also been taught to take my shades off when I'm meeting someone for the first time. It's good manners, like shaking hands.
