Secret Cove, Lake Tahoe, NV
I hope this is OK, we have a question about secret cove. we have a small sailboat and we are thinking about spending a few nights sailing around lake Tahoe. Does anyone know if it would it be possible to anchor is secret cove, and if so is it protected from the afternoon southwest winds?
Secret cove does not offer much wind protection so know your winds and what your boat can handle.
Just to your south is boaters beach as well.
Respect Tahoe as it can get very dangerous and the cove is a ways out.
I use the wind alert app or windfinder.
Fall is amazing there if the smoke has cleared and it's usally glassy longer the summer.
Thanks, we are going to try and plan a trip for the fall. Also, while researching the beach, I found out that they started issuing citations for public indecency at the beach. Apparently, there were some bad actors. Does anyone know if this is still the case?
