When my kids left I had a lot of clothes. Being a pit boss I had quite a few suits, hell, I had $2500 in ties. They all just sat there not being used for a few years. Finally last year I started getting rid of stuff, didn't even think, just threw it away. Socks were gone the day I retired , ties and suits about 6 months later. Then last year I finally went through everything else. Now I have:
0 socks
0 underwear
2 pair of jeans
2 pair of sweatpants
5 polo's
5 see threw shorts
5 other same shorts but with liners
A few jackets
A bunch of flip flops
And 2 pair of shoes
I think that's about it , the only laundry I do is towels and bed stuff, and maybe 2 shorts and shirts a month

How many hours in an average month do you wear anything if you only have 2 shorts and shirts to wash?
Then you never swim where you can't be nude?

Most of my ties went my last 2 weeks of work, I gave them to young colleagues who had a limited supply.
All but 1 suit within 6 months along with most of my dress shirts and about half of my business casual clothes. The last suit went within 2 years but I did keep one blazer.
All of the underwear and undershirts were gone within 2 years.
Since we got a privacy fence shortly after I retired, I got rid of most of my swimsuits, but kept 2 for travel and when we have company.
I was enjoying getting rid of clothing to the point that I had to be careful to stop when I got to the optimal amount.
5 years after retirement Covid arrived so I dropped my gym membership, started working out nude in my basement, and got rid of half of my gym shorts and sleeveless shirts.
Over the past 4 years, I haven't reduced my clothing supply further, In fact, it has crept up a little so I am probably due for another cleaning out,
I always do it nude, take all my clothes out of the closet and dresser, pile them on the bed and put a box for donations and a bag for trash next to them so it takes more effort to keep something than get rid of it.
The only clothing reduction in the last 3 years has been replacing all of my longer shorts with ones with inseams of 5" or less.

Someone on another board got a full body warm air dryer and greatly reduced the number of towels in the laundry also.

Do you ever combine your clothes with your spouse's so you have a load of laundry?

What did you do with all of the empty closet and drawer space?
My wife appropriated mine for her overflow.
Sorry about the multiple posts, but the option to add something to an existing post is no longer available.
You asked how many hours I wear clothes a month, maybe 2 hours max. I do get dressed when grand kids come over, but they haven't lately because they live multiple hours away.
As for washing clothes, I normally throw them in with the towels or bed clothes.
The closet is filled with paintings my wife has and jars used for canning stuff I grow.

Then your wife does most of the shopping and other errands?
If you dress that rarely, even with the small amount of clothes you have, some of them haven't been worn in months, maybe even years.
Still curious if when you go somewhere that requires clothing you drive there nude, dress when you get there and undress before you leave?

Thought of 2 more.
It must feel really strange and confining when you do wear anything since it is so unusual for you.
What it the longest you have been continuously nude?
