Naked workouts
I consider myself a barefoot nudist. Don't feel completely naked unless I am barefoot. Limits my nude workouts with free weights. As accident prone as I am....always afraid of dropping a weight on my foot. Haha. Will still do it with my Vibrams on. Close enough...right? Thankfully there are other kinds of work outside one can do. Naked yoga is amazing. I just wish gyms still had naked swim like the YMCA use to in the "good old days".
I wish I had known about nude swimming at the Y way back when, it would have been amazing.
I just experience on been able to workout nude, and at that out in the open air. It was an amazing feeling that is hard to describe. We just travel to Colorado and visited Mountain Air Ranch (MAR) just south west from Denver. It was a very nice place and what it had was an out door gym! To be able to workout nude and outdoors in the cool mountain air is something that will stay in my mind for ever. For that very reason I will be back to MAR! Pics are coming on profile.
Occasionally I get to work out naked in a gym with others. Sometimes I am barefoot or in flip-flops, but it will limit my routine because I really love my feet (ie, what they do for me). So given the opportunity, I'll go get shoes. "Almost totally bare" is sufficient for me with hiking in the desert, working out, showering at the gym, etc.
Our local camps dont have very good gym equipment and Cypress Cove has a fee to use their gym, so running is my only nude workout option on land. But when we go on our nude cruises I get to use the ship's gym nude. Ill run on the treadmill as part of the workout, so I do wear running shoes.
I dropped a free weight on my foot once long ago and it was not pleasant. I always lift weights in my basement nude, but wear shoes, not wanting to repeat the dropping weight episode. I'm too cheap to pay to use the weight room at Cypress Cove and I prefer to run around the grounds anyways. I ran on the outdoor track on the Big Nude Boat cruise. You can't beat running nude and I didn't want to waste the opportunity.
I agree about being barefoot/nude. Thankfully, I've been able to work out completely nude at the gyms at both Glen Eden Nudist Resort, as well as Laguna Del Sol. I've also worked out nude at Desert Sun Resort in Palm Springs. The only thing that bugged me (at Desert Sun Resort) was that some clothed dude got 'scared-away,' seeing me work out completely nude. He actually waited outside of the gym until I was done. What a clown! And yes, I don't do a light workout when I'm nude. If anything, I'm encouraged to work out harder because I can see all of myself flex, etc.
Definitely with you on being a barefoot nudist. I would love to get a treadmill in order to be able to use it nude and without shoes. Eventually Id like to do a nude 5K completely nude as well.
I ran in last year's Cypress Cove nude 5K. I wore running shoes, but saw one of the other runners going barefoot. I can't imagine doing that on the paved roads at the Cove. My goal was to break the 30 minute mark, which I did. I needed all the help I could get, so I wasn't going to run without my Asics!
This year I've been able to accomplish a few new nude activities that I've had on my bucket list, ran the 5K at Cypress Cove and yes saw two running it barefoot (but I've seen one guy here in Texas run it barefoot on our cross country 5Ks.
I also was able to workout nude at Mountain Air Ranch at their out door gym, so got to workout nude in nature... two bucket list items accomplished. (pics posted)
