I hear this story from so many guys but the scammers are 99% female or so called females so that must tell you something. I have chatted with literally dozens and dozens of guys over the years and have only experienced the odd scammer. I've been on this site for 10 yrs and have never had any bad experiences. Pure luck? Or is it my approach?
Well that makes sense then doesnt it. If your saying 99% are females and youve spoken to dozens and dozens of males(guys) and only experience one scammer or poser. I wouldnt say its pure luck and yeah its your approach. Being that your only approaching guys!
Ahh some folks are dumb where I come from
scammers arent just men posing as women... or women out to fleece money etc, they are guys/cpls/women who present themselves as one thing....when they really are something very different... scams arent always about money. scams can be just misused trust and abused confidence and just generally being taken advantage of,or made to feel the fool.

Totally agree with what youve said there. There is a name for it these dayys - catfished
A "catfish" is someone who pretends to be someone else online. This person completely assumes a fake identity and goes the extra mile to make their victim believe that they are exactly who they say they are. It tends to happen a lot in online dating.
Catfishing is a type of deceptive activity where a person creates a sock puppet social networking presence, or fake identity on a social network account, usually targeting a specific victim for deception. Catfishing is often employed for romance scams on dating websites.
