Almost caught in hotel

Last week I stayed at an Embassy Suites on the top floor. About 11 pm I walked out my door on to the balcony overlooking the inside foyer. Only a few people down there. I moved down the walkway a little and continued to watch. All of a sudden I hear the door behind me open...I bolted back to my room, but missed it. Turned and rushed back to the door...as I opened it, a guy walked out of the door that opened and looked directly at me. Fairly certain he busted me. LOL

And no, I couldn't just stand there and say Hi.
