Slow site costing membership and enjoyment
I think it is unfortunate, but definitely time to tell Team that the slowness in posting chat messages, difficulty retrieving posts from people you're trying to chat with and other such "foibles" are damaging to the site and the enjoyment of doing more than logging in, connecting with a friend here and then going to another site for a far more pleasant chat/cam experience than can presently be had here. Not sure what the problem is, but it is getting worse and needs to be addressed by Team ASAP.
Yes, there has been a "lag" issue in the chatroom for some time. There has been a lot of bitching and moaning in the chatroom. Many of those complaining the loudest are from non-paying members. They have repeatedly stated that they wouldn't become paying members due to the issue. Yet, they spend hours daily in the room; so it could not be effecting the that badly since they spend so much time in the chatroom.
TT1 has been working on the issue. It seems to be working fine since he did a maintenance upgrade. I doubt that those non-paying members who said they wouldn't pay until there was an improvement will be sending in their payments. Freeloaders are freeloaders.
It never ceases to amaze me that people can actually complain about something they get for free!
I agree with post #1. At times I just give up and get off the site and then wonder why I am still paying quarterly. Yes, quarterly, I do this simply because it provides a little more income to the site. If I paid for a life time membership it would be less costly for me, but also less beneficial to the site.
