A guy in his 20s contacted me through Airbnb to host him for a single night. He had just joined so had no references and his profile was thin. I agreed he could arrive late ( 10:30PM) but did not ask him if he knew what " naturist friendly " meant which is how I have the place listed. I greeted him clothed and showed him around. I offered a hot tub soak and he said " sure" i slipped off my shorts and shirt and went out to open it up. He followed shortly also nude and that was the last i saw him in clothes until he headed out. He returned for a second night because of his work load and again was nude while here. Total comfort on both are parts with casual nudity. The way it should be

Jan 9, 2020Great story. My guess is that he did know what naturist meant, based on not questioning you and just being comfortable nude. Otherwise, a no-drama introduction.

He admitted to going nude around his own home which he shares with his sister when she is not aroundReactReply - DO
Jan 21, 2020We've stayed with a few nudist on CS and it's always been a pleasant experience. I've not had luck in 'finding' nudist on other platforms.
Him admitting he goes nude at home when sister is not home, well should we not be allowed to? It's like it's a little 'secret' that we can't share. But it is the truth.

Jan 21, 2020My sis actually asked me to strip naked once and accepted my nudity as normal on other occasions. Unfortunately it is not my sis who lives with me but my son (who does mind - he's a real prude!)

I sometimes have a difficult time with folks not following through with meetings that we agree on from the sites where I have media friendships. Glad to learn that there might be a better site for actually meeting.ReactReply - NO
noodengr2Original PosterJan 21, 2020CS is Couchsurfing an online site for free hospitality exchange. I have used it some but found that it's popularity has waned because many folks who listed their places as free now have switched to earning a bit thru Airbnb. I am listed on it and Belwelcome a similar site plus Warmshowers.org which is strictly for human powered travelers. Bicyclists and long distance walkers

I am listed on CS (CouchSurfing) in the Naturist section.
I have had a few nudist guests and its been great.ReactReply - AL
Jan 22, 2020Thanks, I am on CS too, but it's been so long I forgot the abbreviation. I only had one guest, a very nice young man considering a move to the area. But I'm not in an area that attracts a lot of travelers and the competition are places on lakes, have hot tubs, etc. I may add naturist friendly to my profile.

Jan 23, 2020Well, it is literally self-explanatory. Clothing is optional as opposed to mandatory. I guess someone could be obtuse enough to miss that, but you can't cater to ALL extremes. If you make things too basic, you offend the more intelligent people.

Jan 23, 2020I think "Clothing optional" would be clearer to the reader than "Naturist". It also sounds less dogmatic than "Nudist", so I think it's a good way to get the point across.

Feb 2, 2020Theres also Mister B&B, the gay Air B&B. We had two great experiences with nudist hosts last fall in Ft Lauderdale. Cant wait to visit them again!

Mar 23, 2020My son isn't a prude when I am naked in front of him. I was divorced from his mom so he never really got into being naked. However, women like him so there is that! Wondering when someone will come and say hi-here is your grandchild! LOL. I respect his preference to be clothed. However, he is a grown man -almost 40. Been around the world more than I have.I still am naked at my house as much as possible! WE just have different lifestyles. I love him greatly!

Apr 19, 2020
I think "Clothing optional" would be clearer to the reader than "Naturist". .
I was in a Village Hall committee meeting reporting a booking by a local Naturalist group. Everyone emphasised the NaturAList aspect knowing I'm a nudist/naturist. One day I'll get a booking from some Naturists.. The word Nude is simple and clear. Everyone understands it - those in favour and those against.ReactReply
