Places to stay Feb 2021
We used to go back and forth between nude cruises and stays at Club Orient for our winter vacation, but that ended with hurricane Irma. Now after four years in a row doing the nude cruise, we are skipping next year (it is two weeks long which is a little long for us). Since Club O reopening by then is slightly less likely than us hitting PowerBall (and we dont even buy a ticket), we are looking for good ideas on places to stay. We have looked into Club Fantastico (very high price), Adam & Eve (our front runner so far), and Jardin d'O (a little farther away from Orient Beach so we would need a car) near Orient Beach. We have also looked at Naturist Getaway in Oyster Bay which would also require a car. Anyone have thoughts on these places or any others on the island?
We also heard from another TN member who we met on Orient Beach the last time we went. They were renting a 3BR villa also near the Village called Villa Susanna and asked us if we were going this year. Since we had the cruise we didnt, but they did say even splitting the cost 2 ways it was very reasonable and very nice. Maybe if we find others going we can look there as well. Otherwise we will probably at least contact Adam & Eve once we get past this pandemic.
We used to visit each June. Di was on a teacher's calendar schedule. It was amazing how many educators there were at Club O during June. Of course, we made friends with so many of them. Our first visit we mostly stayed by ourselves but a couple days before we left, we made friends with a couple from Beaverton, OR and a couple from Long Island, NY. We ended up being very close friends and are still friends to this day, over 20 years ago. We'd planned to get the band back together until Irma messed those plans up.
If Club O does not rebuild, it's our plan to return to St. Martin with close friends and rent a villa. Be nice to have it close to the Club O beach and The Perch Lite but we always rent a car because there are so many great places to eat and we love the open air markets. Phillipsburg and Merigot are fun to walk around. We'll have to take a look at Adam and Eve. ;D
